About A-TAC
A-TAC was built around a simple idea: multi-unit properties need a better way to maintain the HVAC equipment serving individual rooms, apartments and zones.
Rather than approaching every type of mechanical system, A-TAC specializes in the repetitive terminal and distributed HVAC systems found throughout hotels and multi-unit buildings. That means packaged terminal air conditioners, vertical terminal air conditioners, water-source heat pumps and ductless mini-split systems — the equipment that sits in the room with the guest or resident.
We are not a chiller, boiler or central-plant contractor, and we are not a residential HVAC company. The work we do is defined by volume and repetition: dozens or hundreds of small systems in one property, each needing the same defined attention, in occupied space, on a schedule that respects how the building operates.
Focusing on one class of equipment lets us do things a generalist cannot:
One written scope per equipment type, applied the same way to the first unit and the four-hundredth.
Routing, access sequencing and staffing planned around occupancy so buildings get completed inside their window.
The same fields recorded on every unit, which is what makes comparison, trending and budgeting possible.
The same approach works for one building or a portfolio, because the unit of work is the unit itself.

A-TAC serves the NYC metro area — New York City, nearby New Jersey, Westchester and Long Island. Crews are local, scheduling is planned around occupancy, and one point of contact carries the program across every property in a portfolio.
Maintenance leads what we do. Condition assessments tell a property where it stands, and repairs and replacements resolve what those assessments find.
